From Eden to Eternity: A Kingdom in Ruins (October 4, 2026)

You test every foothold climbing a high cliff, then treat the wet stones in the river as if they could never give way. First and Second Kings answers why a people God rescued ended in exile—the land lost, the temple burned—not through one spectacular leap, but along a path of small, everyday compromises measured “in the eyes of the Lord.”

Give Us A King (September 27, 2026)

Few prayers are more dangerous than “God, give me what I want”—especially when what you want looks strong, secure, and respectable. In 1 Samuel 8, Israel asks for a crown “like all the nations,” rejecting the King already among them, and God grants the request—setting in motion a search that turns from outward stature to the hidden allegiance of the heart.

The Rebel King Inside You (September 20, 2026)

A family road trip starts with dreams of Disneyland but quickly devolves into complaints, blame, and chaos. Moses faced something far harder: leading a people from slavery to freedom, only to watch them reject the promised land itself and wander forty years in the desert. The heart, Deuteronomy 30 suggests, is the real problem—and no change of scenery will fix it.

God or the Garden? (September 13, 2026)

Could you have heaven with no sickness, every friend you ever loved, every pleasure you ever tasted—and still be satisfied if God were not there? At Sinai in Exodus 19, Israel, just out of slavery, receives the law and a portable tent meant to keep God at the center of camp. The question that will follow them through the wilderness is the one that follows everyone: the garden, or its God?

Don't Stay in Egypt (September 6, 2026)

You’ve said it in the middle of the pain: there has to be more to this life than this. Israel lived that distance in Egypt—promised milk and honey yet making bricks from dawn to night, their cries seemingly unheard. Exodus 1–15 traces that groan toward a sea no one can part alone, and asks who can carry a captive people across it.

Go Outside and Count Stars (August 30, 2026)

What happens when following God leads straight into a desert? In Genesis 12 and 15, Abraham reaches the promised land only to face famine, barrenness, and the apparent impossibility of becoming a great nation. Then God takes him beneath the night sky, where countless stars frame the tension between present circumstances and a promise that seems beyond reach.

A Cosmic Tragedy (August 23, 2026)

Every lie, every broken relationship, every disease, every death—Genesis 3 is where it all traces back, and calling it “the fall” doesn’t come close to doing it justice. What went wrong in that garden wasn’t just a mistake; it was a cosmic tragedy, and the question God asks in the wreckage of it has a way of landing personally.

You Are Not the Main Character (August 16, 2026)

We come to the Bible hungry for a fix—something for our problems, our inner turmoil, our next step. Genesis 1 and 2 refuse to make us the point. The story opens with four words that name the main character, and it isn’t you.

The Thing Between Us: A Distracting Devil

Distractions in relationship are appealing to our flesh but destroy our relationships. When we allow Jesus between us, we become fully present to one another, and God becomes fully present to us. In a world filled with distractions, being intentional is key.

The Thing Between Us: A Dismissive Devil

Do you feel like your feelings and opinions are often dismissed in your relationships? If so, you’re not alone. Dismissiveness is a common way that the devil tries to ruin relationships. We discusses how to identify and deal with dismissiveness in your relationships. Even when the world dismisses us, God does not. The cross of Jesus is an emphatic statement that we matter, but importantly we matter to God.
