Psalm 59

It is striking to me that David wants rescue, but he wants not just rescue but rescue that reminds his people that the Lord is the one in control. When things are going wrong for me, do I really think about how I want God’s actions to bring about glory to Him or do I simply want to escape the situation? All too often, I must confess, it is simply the latter.
